Welcome to River Mouth Review 

RMR is currently closed for submissions.

We welcome poetry from both new and established poets.

Submit no more than 3 poems, all in one document. 

Submissions are free at this point in time.  If you have been published in RMR before, please wait at least two years before re-submitting. We try to prioritize new-to-RMR voices.

Poems are selected not only for their individual qualities, but also in conjunction with the other poems chosen for each issue. Please consider that your poems, if declined, may simply not be the best fit for this publication at this time and place. 

Important: We will not accept work which is based in hate, othering, objectifying, or bigotry of any kind. Also: we can't consider translations unless both original and translated versions are your own work, or you are very experienced as a poetry translator.   

NOTE: We reserve the right to remove or decline any work we previously accepted, on the following grounds: discovery of plagiarism, false author identity, work solely generated by AI, or violation of any of our other policies.
